Problem

Summary

The in-app integration library in Drip did not provide users with enough clarity, context, or management tools to confidently select and maintain integrations, resulting in confusion and frustration when managing their tech stack.

Clarity & Understanding

Users were unable to clearly distinguish between Drip-built and third-party integrations, and listings lacked the contextual information needed to set accurate expectations or build trust.

Discovery & Decision-Making

Because the library did not surface recommended or commonly used integrations, users had to rely on guesswork when deciding which tools to connect.

Ownership & Support

Third-party integrations did not clearly indicate who supported them or where users should go for help, leaving users uncertain how to resolve issues when problems occurred.

Visibility & Control

Once integrations were connected, users had little visibility into which integrations were active or functioning correctly, making ongoing management and troubleshooting difficult.

User Impact

As a result, users experienced lower confidence in their decisions, increased confusion when integrations failed, and growing frustration with the lack of transparency, ultimately weakening trust in Drip as an integration platform.

Deliverables

To address these challenges, I redesigned the in-app integration experience to give users greater clarity, organization, and confidence when managing their connections in Drip.

The new integrations experience introduced a clearer visual hierarchy and more intentional categorization, making it easier for users to understand what integrations were available and distinguish between Drip-built and third-party tools.

Discoverability and evaluation were improved by reducing ambiguity and surfacing information that supported faster, more confident decision-making when selecting and managing integrations.

Overall, the redesigned experience aligned more closely with Drip’s mission to empower marketers and e-commerce teams to grow without technical barriers, reinforcing trust in Drip as a central place to manage their tech stack.
